The Idea Factory is an ongoing social experiment/art project/idea that focuses on community and connection. There is a membership component for anyone who would like to join. Membership is not limited by age or location. Perks include a hand printed Idea Factory card, access to the members only website, and an opportunity to participate in an upcoming Idea Factory members’ art exhibition. The Idea Factory presented itself to Trent Miller in 02022. In 02023 the Idea Factory existed only in Miller’s brain. In 2023 Miller attempted to move the idea into a physical space so that the public could walk around in his brain. From mid-March to mid-May 02024 The Idea Factory had it’s first physical manifestation as an exhibition, residency, and social experiment at Garver Canvas in Garver Feed Mill (Madison, WI). Miller saw Garver Canvas as a space for continued experimentation and making, not a static environment. The Idea Factory popped up again April 26th as part of the Madison Print and Resist event at Central Madison Public Library.
On May 18th 02025 The Idea Factory opened our newest venture Museum of Raccoons which now has a permanent home at Roundhouse Studios (1741 Commercial Ave. Madison, WI. USA, Earth).
