The Bubbler at Madison Public Library

Trent Miller is the Head Bubblerarian for The Bubbler at Madison Public Library (2012-Present). In 2012 he helped to create and launch the program, and in 2015 he was awarded a Library Journal Mover & Shaker award for his work with The Bubbler.  The Bubbler is an artist-focused incubator space in Madison, Wisconsin focused on connecting artists to the community and the community to artists through creative and innovative events, exhibitions, and workshops. The Bubbler has received numerous awards and recognitions for it's unique concept of using a public library as a platform for experimentation and collaboration through art. You can learn more HERE.

MUNICIPAL

MUNICIPAL was a one-day pop-up art event featuring over 100 artist on Dec. 10th, 2017 at the soon to be renovate Madison Municipal Building in Madison, WI. Trent Miller organized the event along with the art organizations Arts + Literature LaboratoryThe Apartment ProjectMadison Community Discourse, and an incredible group of Bubbler workers (Carlee Latimer!), volunteers, and community members. LUCK OF THE DRAW (VOL. 1)

Luck of The Draw (Vol. 1) was a contemporary drawing exhibition organized by Trent Miller at the Diane Endres Ballweg Gallery (Central Madison Public Library, Madison, WI). The exhibition was on view Jan. 8th - Fab. 26th 2016 and featured over 75 artists from around the United States. At the end of the exhibition instead of receiving their own work back, artists received a randomly selected drawing by another artist in the exhibition. Click HERE to see more photos and for a full participating artist list.

STACKED

STACKED was a one-day pop-up art event featuring over 100 artist on Sept. 19th, 2013 at the recently renovate Central Madison Public Library in Madison, WI. BOOKLESS

BOOKLESS was a one-day pop-up art event featuring over 100 artist on Jan. 28th, 2012 at the soon-to-be-renovate Central Madison Public Library in Madison, WI. Trent Miller organized the event along with an incredible group of library staff (Courtney Davis!), volunteers, and community members. BOOKLESS attracted over 5,000 visitors, lead to the creation of The Bubbler at Madison Public Library, and helped to inspire numerous other pop-up art events and collaborations in the Madison, Wi art community.
